The UAE Is The Most Popular Country In The World For Arab Youths To Want To Live
The ASDA'A Burson-Marsteller Arab youth survey was launched in 2008 and is the largest survey of its kind of the Middle East's largest demographic, a region notable for its predominantly young population.
There has been a dramatic shift in the perception of America by young Arabs over the past two years, with a solid majority - some 57 percent - now regarding the U.S. as an enemy rather than an ally.
The worldwide polling firm PSB Research conducted the survey by performing 3,500 face-to-face interviews with men and women aged 18-24 in 16 Arab countries and regions, between January 21 and February 20, 2018. "Looking forward to the next decade, it's clear that Mohammed bin Salman represents great hope for young Arabs across the region who demand to see clear action on these pressing issues".
Now, the survey shows that many young Arabs, particularly those in the Levant (and more so than those in the Gulf or North Africa), are pessimistic about the future with 72 percent of Levant young people stating that their best days are "behind us" rather than 82 percent of Gulf youth, or 62 percent of the North African youth, who said the best days are "ahead of us". It marks a significant shift from 2015 when only 47 per cent of young Arabs expressed any confidence in their government's ability to deal with the terrorist organisation. An overwhelming majority (78 per cent) of Arab youth say Daesh has become weaker over the past year and, furthermore, 58 per cent say Daesh and its ideology will be completely defeated.
In the Levant, which includes Lebanon and Jordan, one in three see Russian Federation as the top non-Arab ally, a view held by just 9 per cent in 2016.

When asked how they saw the United States in relation to their country, almost six out of 10 young Arabs across the Mena region described Washington as an enemy.
