Alisson to Real Madrid isn't quite a done deal.

Real Madrid have agreed a six-year contract with Liverpool target Alisson but have yet to come to terms with Roma over a fee.

Their report makes clear that claims in the Brazilian media that Liverpool had tabled a £60m bid for Alisson were wide of the mark and that the club's recruitment team have accepted that their chances of signing him are "highly unlikely".

And Roma president Pallotta conceded that the goalkeeper is indeed closing in on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. After all, Alisson is only 25, proven at the highest level and is the type of goalkeeper-especially given his excellent distribution-who would fit into a Klopp side well at Anfield. "He is linked with Real Madrid", O'Conner told Sky Sports' Transfer Talk podcast, via The Sport Review.

"I have read with much amusement the quotes attributed to me about the transfer market", he said in a statement on the club's official Twitter account.

Allison, who is on World Cup duty with Brazil, had hinted earlier this week he wanted his future sorted before the tournament began. But with the Selecao beginning their campaign against Switzerland on Sunday, the likelihood of any deal being concluded before then now seems slim. There are some possibilities and we are working on all of them, together with Roma, always respecting the club.
