International House of Burgers: 'IHOP' becomes 'IHOb'

The wait is over: IHOP has finally announced what the "b" in its new name - IHOb - stands for, and it has something to do with the new sizzling sounds from its restaurants' grills.

According to the restaurants website, IHOP traces its roots back to the opening of the first International House of Pancakes restaurant in 1958 in Toluca Lake, Calif.

"Burgers are a quintessential, American menu item so it makes ideal sense that IHOP, one of the most iconic, all-American comfort-food brands in the world, would go over the top to create a delicious line-up of quality burgers that hit the spot any time of day", said Chef Nevielle Panthaky, Head of Culinary at IHOb.

Last week, the company announced it was changing the "P" in IHOP to a "B".
