Montel Williams hospitalized after he 'overdid' it during a workout

Former talk show host admitted for treatment after strenuous workout.

The 61-year-old, who has battled Multiple Sclerosis for over two decades, is expected to make a full recovery. The spokesman said Thursday that Williams "overdid it" and was admitted to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. "The Williams family will forever be grateful for the quick response from NYFD and the excellent care he has received".

"We don't take any chances when it comes to somebody with multiple sclerosis", he adds, noting that Williams is "doing well" and expects to be discharged soon.

Williams recently posted about his line of cannabidiol capsules that have helped him with his MS struggle.

In 2016, the TV personality made headlines when he was detained by German Customs for possession of medical marijuana, despite having a prescription for the drug.
