The duchess proved her savvy shopping skills yet again today, stepping out in a relatively low-cost Zara dress alongside Prince George and Princess Charlotte to watch Prince William compete for the Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy.

Footage, which has been posted to Twitter by royal fans, shows the youngster clapping as the family stood on the balcony after the traditional fly past. The Duchess and her prince and princess came out to support the Duke of Cambridge, 35, who was competing in the Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy.

All eyes were on Prince George and Princess Charlotte on Sunday as they frolicked in the sunshine at their father's polo match.

However, images of young George wielding a toy gun (and a toy knife) spoiled the mood online.

One comment said: "This was the only disappointing thing about today's polo match photos". My American side here, biased maybe because of everyday #gunviolence in US, but my British side agrees. "This looks far too real", someone else wrote.

Many balked at the toys, given Britain's knife- and gun-related violence, which is "rising at an accelerating pace", according to the U.K. Guardian. "Lucky George isn't black or police would have shot him", one user wrote.
