Another Trump Official Under Fire, Asked To Resign By Woman At Restaurant

EPA chief Scott Pruitt flees Washington eatery after woman cradling toddler confronts him says he's 'harming' children

EPA chief Scott Pruitt flees Washington eatery after woman cradling toddler confronts him says he's 'harming' children

The teacher, Kristin Mink, introduced him to her 2-year-old son and requested that he resign so her child could have a better future, afterward posting a video of the encounter on Facebook.

Appointments like Pruitt's meetings with Cardinal George Pell-who was later charged with multiple accounts of sexual assault-and meals with industry bigwigs were deleted from the public record.

The mother of a toddler approached Scott Pruitt, director of the Environmental Protection Agency, while he was having lunch at a restaurant called Teaism in Washington, D.C. on Monday.

According to Mink, who teaches at Sidwell Friends, the Washington DC school where Barack Obama sent his two daughters, Pruitt then left the restaurant with his companion and did not respond to her.

Indeed, Mary Dagen McDowell, an FBN anchor and frequent guest on Sean Hannity's show on Fox News, said, "I watched the video and the woman carrying the child was more measured". "I jotted down just a couple points that I wanted to make to him that were a little on the specific side".

President Trump's policies at the border have resulted in widespread protests and administration officials being accosted in public and at their homes.

Pruitt faces a barrage of ethics complaints and federal inquiries.

The interviews conducted by staffers for the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee late last week shed new light on the EPA administrator's willingness to leverage his position for his personal benefit and to ignore warnings even from allies about potential ethical issues, according to three individuals familiar with the sessions, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Pruitt has also been criticized in connection with the rental of a Capitol Hill condo tied to a prominent oil and gas lobbyist, and the use of first-class travel and luxury hotel suites, among other things.

Chmielewski says he was forced to leave the EPA in February after raising questions about Pruitt's spending and management, CNN reported. "He had no response, he had no defense, he had no apology, he did no explaining, he did no denying".

Mink posted a video of the confrontation to Facebook, Splinter reports.

"Administrator Pruitt always welcomes input from Americans, whether they agree or disagree with the decisions being made at EPA", Ferguson said in a statement to USA Today.
