Epic Games has said that it will soon be releasing an "in-depth and detailed postmortem" to explain what went wrong with the mode's launch and the issues that were faced when bringing it to life. After repeated delays and apologies for those delays, the Playground is now up and running again. When this analysis will see the light of day is now unknown.

Unlike Save the World, Fortnite Battle Royale is a free-to-play mode now available to download on most major platforms.
