Is Tiger Woods back?

Tiger Woods of the US looks along the 1st fairway during the final round of the British Open Golf Championship in Carnoustie Scotland

He was a forgotten figure when he teed off in the final round of the British Open, mainly because he was playing with Tiger Woods, and because of the star power around him.

"It's fantastic to stand here with the Claret Jug".

"So there's going to be a lot of European guys vying for his partnership in the foursomes at the Ryder Cup, that's for sure".

Woods held the outright lead at Carnoustie heading into his back nine as he looked to win a major for the first time since 2008, but dropped three shots in two holes and he never regained the momentum.

"It's not [the] Tiger that, you know, Phil [Mickelson] and Ernie [Els] and those guys had to deal with".

The 42-year-old was looking to break his 10-year major drought and complete one of the greatest comebacks in sports history.

Defending champion Jordan Spieth went into the final round tied for the lead with Schauffele and Kevin Kisner, but stumbled to the turn in 39 and Kisner managed one shot worse to throw the tournament wide open. He's right there. He's getting himself in the mix. He's looked good here.

If the prospect of Tiger Woods playing a round of golf while decked out in his Sunday best (the inevitable black pants/red Nike polo ensemble) translates to ratings gold, NBC was doubly blessed by a stacked field.

Costantino Rocca famously holed form the Valley of Sin at the Old Course in the 1995 Open but lost the play-off that followed to John Daly, and the young Molinari, then only 12, was watching.

'Unhappily' married woman denied a divorce by UK Supreme Court
Past year the Court of Appeal in London upheld that ruling, and five Supreme Court justices have now also ruled against her. Family law experts say the ruling shows there is a "divorce crisis" and called for the introduction of "no fault" splits.

Staff members at the Indian and South Korean embassies said they were unaware of any unusual incident and were working as normal. The U.S. and China are in the midst of a heated trade dispute, but America remains a popular destination for Chinese tourists.

James Mattis: No plans for U.S., Russian military cooperation in Syria
Besides McConnell and Ryan, other prominent congressional Republicans do not share Trump's upbeat views of Putin. Mattis said during the briefing at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University in Palo Alto.

That vaulted McIlroy into a six-way tie for the lead and Rose joined the expanding group on six under with a tap-in birdie on 18, two days after he needed a birdie on the same hole just to make the cut.

The only way Tiger Woods will ever be back is if he wins a major championship.

As Woods' challenge stalled, the drama was just beginning elsewhere, with McIlroy following birdies on the ninth and 11th with an eagle from 35 feet on the 14th.

Woods described the emotional moment with his kids following his 1-under-par-71 on Sunday at Carnoustie Golf Links.

'I only got to see the last four holes because my son and I were flying to Scotland but I wasn't nervous when I saw how he was hitting the ball.

"I told them I tried and I said, 'Hopefully you're proud of your pops for trying as hard as I did, '" the 14-time major victor told Golf Channel.

"Today was a good day for both of us with that, I guess".

"He can improve everything, but even if this his arrival at a big level, the last three months he's the best player in the world and I hope he comes inside the top five".

"He's always been a great player", McIlroy said.
