Johnny Depp Sued For Attacking Crew Member on Biggie Smalls Movie Set

Brooks, who worked as a location manager on the film about the investigation of the Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur murders, filed the suit against Depp Friday in California Superior Court.

According to the lawsuit, Brooks claims he was asked to write and sign a declaration stating that he would not sue the production.

Brooks says he was able to get the permit extended twice but that at 11pm, the permit official said they would have to wrap it up.

Brooks said he relayed that information to Brad Furman, the director of the movie, which had the working title "Labryrinth" at the time.

Gregg "Rocky" Brooks alleges that Depp punched him twice in the rib cage in April previous year, after he told the actor that they needed to finish up shooting because their film permit was about to expire.

In recent years, Depp has become less known for his film roles than for reports about hard-partying ways, extravagant spending and his allegedly violence-laced divorce from Amber Heard.

Brooks alleges that Depp screamed, "Who the fuck are you?"

A source told Page Six at the time that the out-of-control star was "six inches away" from Rocky's face, yelling, 'Who are you?

Brooks tried to explain that as location manager, he had to make sure the production was in compliance with city permits.

Brooks' filing from Glendale attorney Arbella Azizian of Baker Olson, LeCroy & Danielian seeks wide ranging but unspecified damages from Depp, Furmqn, producer Miriam Segal and the production.

Brooks said Depp smelled of alcohol and appeared intoxicated as he shouted obscenities then "angrily and forcefully" punched Brooks twice in the rib cage. When Rocky didn't react, Depp screamed, "I will give you $100,000 to punch me in the face right now".

"City of Lies" is scheduled to be released in September.
