Loris Karius Makes Another Howler For Liverpool Against Tranmere

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius' 2018 nightmare season continues after he failed to make a straight-forward save in his side's friendly match against Tranmere Rovers in England.

"No one likes this goal", he told reporters.

Liverpool, for now, look like they will enter the season without signing a first-choice shot-stopper, with a deal for Roma's Brazilian worldwide Alisson Becker proving hard to negotiate. That you [the media] do what you do, we have to deal with it.

His performance has inevitably led to speculation that Liverpool FC could be set to look to bring in goalkeeping reinforcements this summer as they look to challenge for the title next season.

He said: "We can not always start a story after each mistake".

"You (the media) can all stop it immediately - promise?"

They will now face Croatia or England in Sunday's showdown and are likely to be heavy favourites regardless going into that match. They beat Belgium on Tuesday night by a single Samuel Umtiti / Marouane Fellaini goal.

Russian Federation vs Croatia - History on the line in Sochi
After Fernandes' failure, Modric got lucky when his strike found the net following touches off Akinfeev's glove and the post. He blocked Russia's first penalty kick by putting up his left hand to get a piece of an attempt from Fyodor Smolov .

Flooding in Japan has killed more than 100
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe canceled a planned trip to Europe and the Middle East to oversee disaster activities. Residents lined up for water under the scorching sun as temperatures rose to 35 degrees, raising risks of heat stroke.

"Two brilliant footballers make this mistake, but we don't talk about it".

Liverpool were at least able to reflect on a second win in the space of four days, as first-half goals from Rafa Camacho, Sheyi Ojo and Adam Lallana saw them past a spirited Tranmere.

As it stands, however, it really doesn't seem like the German fancies any of the 'keepers on the market and as we all know, he's not one to spend for the sake of it but would rather wait for the right man to become available.

And the Liverpool manager maintained his support for the under-fire stopper after his mistake in the game with the newly-promoted League Two side. We had more chances to score, but then we conceded the goals, which is not nice.

Liverpool are next in action on Saturday when they travel to Bury.
