Kevin Love has signed a four-year, $120 million extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers, reports ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst.

But while it's now experiencing a youth movement of sorts, Cleveland will still rely on its fair share of veterans this season, including Love's close friend Channing Frye, who re-signed with the team on a one-year deal earlier this month.

The Cavaliers were widely anticipated to resist trade offers for Love following the departure of LeBron James.

He will be paid $28.9 million in 2019-20, $31.3 million in 2020-21 and 2021-22, and $28.8 million in 2022-23.

With James now out of the picture in Cleveland, Love is clearly the biggest name left on the Cavaliers.

Love will be in line for increased usage on the offensive end of the floor this season.

On Tuesday, the Cavs announced they have signed Love to a multiyear extension.

The 29-year-old signed the contract at Quicken Loans Arena on Tuesday in front of Cavs employees and construction workers.

"When I first came to Cleveland, I came with a long-term mindset", said Love, who joined the team in 2014 after six seasons in Minnesota.

Love, who will turn 30 in September, just completed his fourth season with Cleveland, which was swept by Golden State in the National Basketball Association final.

"Right after LeBron made a decision to leave, I called Kevin first", Altman said. He wants to be a part of this team and part of this franchise and to be the leader. We know that we're going to add some new pieces, but we feel like things are going ahead in the right direction, and we're going to have a team that's going to play extremely hard, overachieve hopefully, and we'll just go out there and throw the ball out and see what happens.
