Nets reportedly send Lin to Hawks, acquire two from Nuggets

Lin told the Nets website earlier this week that he has yet to participate in full-contact drills as he rehabs the injury.

Lin was traded to Atlanta for an unprotected 2020 second-round pick via Portland and. They took care of both late Thursday, trading Jeremy Lin to the Hawks and landing the Nuggets' 2019 first-round pick in a separate deal that shipped out Isaiah Whitehead.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Nets have shipped the veteran point guard to the Atlanta Hawks in a transaction that had the two teams swapping future second-round selections.

Lin will be entering his ninth season in the National Basketball Association next fall, and the Hawks mark the 6-foot-3 point guard's sixth team.

Lin, 29, played in only one game last season with Brooklyn, sustaining a season-ending ruptured patellar tendon on opening night. He produced 2.8 points in 7.4 minutes per game. Denver also got rid of $21 million in salary with the deal, with the bulk of that coming from the $13.8 million Faried is owed next season.

Faried, 28, played in 32 games (seven starts) for Denver last season, averaging 5.9 points and 4.8 rebounds.
