On June 19, representatives announced that Swift had been hospitalized due to a "life-threatening condition".

As mentioned, Swift was most well-known for the time he spent playing with The Shins, as well as the Arcs, a band started by The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach.

Dave Depper from Death Cab for Cutie also tweeted, calling Swift "the most talented person I've ever met". "He's now with his Mom and Sister", Auerbach, 39, wrote on Tuesday, July 3.

The California born singer-songwriter died on Tuesday morning in his home in Tacoma, Washington after battling an illness, according to Pitchfork.

Perhaps best known for his role as drummer for the indie-rock band The Shins between 2011 and 2016, he also toured as a bassist with the Black Keys in 2014. I will miss you my friend'.

"Dear friends of Swift, Richard needs your love and support now as he is up against some tough odds". A GoFundMe page was set up to help raise money for his medical bills, which were reportedly extensive. He also founded and was the engineer at National Freedom, a recording studio in central Oregon.

Inside LeBron James' Plan to Take Over Hollywood
The explosion of Lakers ticket interest should come as no surprise to anyone who followed James' two stints in Cleveland. But money and years of security were less a concern than being able to play for a title contender.

Hoping to reach a $100k goal, the fund was able to gather $87,625 in just two weeks.

'He is receiving excellent care in Tacoma Washington and everything is being done to allow his body time to fix and heal'.

Swift's most recent solo effort was 2009's The Atlantic Ocean.

"He is uninsured and the cost of the care he is getting is a lot".
