For more than 20 years, Noel Cintron was Donald Trump's personal driver, chauffeuring the businessman - before he became the President - wherever he needed to go.

Trump's personal driver for more than 25 years says the billionaire real estate developer didn't pay him overtime and raised his salary only twice in 15 years, clawing back the second raise by cutting off his health benefits.

Noel Cintron sued the tycoon-turned-president's business, the Trump Organization, in a NY state court.

This lawsuit is the latest in a string of suits brought against the President and his organisations by former employees and suppliers, all of whom cite common grievances: that Trump wilfully underpaid or failed to pay compensation for services and work completed.

Cintron said he worked as many as 55 hours per week, with shifts that could begin as early as 7 a.m., but was paid on a fixed salary.

In December 2010, he was given a US$7,000 (RM28,164) raise to US$75,000 a year, but only after losing his health benefits, saving his employer almost US$18,000 a year in insurance premiums, according to the lawsuit.

A Trump Organization spokesperson said Cintron's lawsuit was frivolous.

President Donald Trump's personal driver of over 25 years is suing the Trump Organization for more than 3,000 hours of unpaid overtime over the last six years, according to Business Insider.

Lawyers for the Trump Organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In addition to the unpaid overtime, Cintron claims the Trump Organization failed to provide annual wage notices as required by NY law.

Cintron claims that he was forced to work "thousands" of hours in overtime, and was not given a "meaningful raise" in over 10 years.

The suit alleges federal and state labour law violations and seeks six years of unpaid overtime - the legal time limit for such claims - plus interest, attorneys' fees and unspecified damages.
