The Best iPhone Apps Offering Dark Mode Recommended by Apple

YouTube had announced this past March that a dark mode option was coming to both Android and iOS after it first debuted on the Material Design-revamped version on the web. The Dark Theme toggle will be under the Digital Wellbeing section, below the "Remind me to take a break" feature. Also, anything previously white will be converted into the dark theme, including search pages, backgrounds, tabs, and even the minimized video player.

9to5Google reports that the feature began rolling out yesterday, notifying users with a prompt.

If you own an Android device and are not yet seeing the option, you can check if it is available by going into Settings General. This way, the initial loading experience is now less jarring to see.

The lucky user said he simply went to bed and, on waking up, the YouTube app has changed.

The report said there was no sign the plane was evading radar detection or that it was taken over by remote control. Investigators say they considered more than 60 theories about what could have happened to the plane.

When the feature has fully rolled out, the option can be turned on and off by the user.

If you can't wait for YouTube to flip the switch, you can try this method detailed over on XDA Developers Forum to enable the feature - but you'll need root access to get it to work.

The dark mode appears to be quite nice for those who enjoy a darker tone to their apps, and as the setting suggest it extends to the entire app rather than just parts. Whether that happened automatically or he forgot to mention that it needed to be enabled first, we'll never know.
