Don Lemon Takes Jabs At Donald Trump After LeBron James Interview

Late Friday night, Trump tweeted about James' interview with Don Lemon on CNN.

In response, Trump questioned James' intelligence, saying it was not easy to make the National Basketball Association player "look smart". Although James has always been a Trump critic, calling the president "U bum" in a 2017 tweet, the tweet was Trump's first attack on the player, who just opened up a school for underprivileged children in his hometown of Akron.

James had said in an interview that Trump was divisive and had emboldened racists. "What I noticed over the last few months that he's kind of used sport to kind of divide us, and that's something that I can't relate to".

Other celebrities, athletes, and public figures shared similar messages as the first lady, praising James for his contributions to the community.

Many NBA stars took the side of LeBron James after the tweet of USA president Donald Trump against the newest Laker and even Michael Jordan defends the current "King" of the NBA.

Lemon responded Saturday morning by calling out the Trump's controversial immigration policies. "Who's the real dummy?"

Secondly, LeBron has opened himself up to this type of rhetoric by going after Trump first.

Trump's tweet came after CNN re-aired a wide-ranging interview between James and Lemon that originally aired on Monday. Grisham adds that the first lady "would be open" to visiting James' school.

"He's doing an awesome job for his community", Jordan, now owner of the National Basketball Association's Charlotte Hornets, told NBC News through a spokesperson. He also ended by tweet by stating he preferred Michael Jordan.

In his interview with Lemon, he said he'd consider running for president if he believed he was the only person who could stop Trump from being re-elected.

Asked what he would say to Trump if he was sat across from him, James replied: "I would never sit across from him". "A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages?"
