This is because The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which is in charge of the walk along with LA City Council, has always been reluctant to remove any star.

The star is one of more than 2,600 set into the pavements on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Avenue.

But the city council also pointed out in the resolution that the Walk of Fame is still the "property of the City of Los Angeles" and that the city has the "ultimate responsibility for the condition and maintenance of the Walk of Fame".

The star has been vandalised several times, with the latest destruction happening on July 25.

In 2015, a call to remove Bill Cosby's star from the Walk of Fame by activists amid a number of sexual assault accusations failed to get the support the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which administers the Walk of Fame, has voted "unanimously" to approve a resolution that urges it and the Los Angeles City Council to permanently remove the current president's star.

Donald Trump receives his Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2007.

Last month, 24-year-old Austin Mikel Clay destroyed Trump's star with a pickax and later turned himself into police.

The zero-detention policy which led to the separation of children from their parents at the USA border and Trump's denial of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election during his meet with Vladimir Putin also finds a mention in the resolution.

"The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a registered historic landmark".

In October 2016, weeks before Trump won the presidential election, a man posing as a construction worker took a sledgehammer and pickaxe to the star.

Weirdly, whilst "Disneyland", Big Bird and The Rugrats have a star on the Walk Of Fame, Fisher doesn't have one and neither does Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Spike Lee, Robert DeNiro or Will Smith. During the time, he also starred in the hit reality TV series The Apprentice. It's unclear whether he has a lawyer. He could face as many as three years in jail.
