Is Kemi Adeosun going to face prosecution now that she has resigned

Ms Adeosun was appointed as finance minister by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.

Nigeria's immediate past finance minister Kemi Adeosun has explained how she got a National Youth Service Corps exemption certificate believed to be fake.

One day after resigning from her position as finance minister, it is being reported that Kemi Adeosun has left the country.

Telecoms experts who also dialled her number at PREMIUM TIMES' instance Saturday evening also said the telephone certainly did not ring in Nigeria.

The minister felt that her position is becoming untenable and is hurting the President in the run up to the 2019 election.

A newspaper around noon published a breaking news that she resigned.

Upon enquiry as to my status relating to NYSC, I was informed that due to my residency history and having exceeded the age of thirty (30), I was exempted from the requirement to serve. "Be that as it may, as someone totally committed to a culture of probity and accountability I have made a decision to resign with effect from Friday, 14th September, 2018".
