A Florida man aboard a Southwest Airlines flight was detained on Sunday for allegedly groping a female passenger. More

According to a criminal complaint, a woman said she was sleeping on the flight when she felt fingers touching her right side near her bra line. The woman told police that each time she saw "a hand that had thick fingers, were hairy and dirty fingernails" grope her. Around 30 minutes later, she felt someone grab her again.

After that, the woman stood up, turned around and told Alexander, sitting behind her, "that she didn't know why he thought it was OK [to touch her] and he needed to stop", the complaint said.

Alexander was seated in a window seat aboard Southwest Flight 5421, behind a woman whom authorities only identified by her initials.

A Tampa man told investigators President Donald Trump said it's "OK to grab women by their private parts", after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman during a flight, federal court documents show.

"C.W. felt fingers slowly grab the back of her arm, squeezing above the elbow", the complaint said.

The woman was helped by aircraft staff to find a different seat and the man was arrested on arrival in Albuquerque. The pilot diverted the flight to Albuquerque.

Trump's words have been parroted by other people accused of unsavoury acts in recent months.

It's unclear at this time whether Alexander has retained legal counsel. As he was leaving the courthouse, Merlino said Trump "was right" and flippers need to be outlawed, according to the Guardian.

Upon arrival at Albuquerque International Sunport, Alexander was detained and asked Federal Bureau of Investigation agents what the sentence was for the charge he was being arrested for. He also said he slept for most of the flight and wasn't drinking or taking sleep medication. He "could not specifically recall getting into his backpack", which was stowed under the seat in front of him, according to the complaint. And the man authorities say is responsible allegedly cited President Trump's past lewd language about women. "As part of this operating philosophy, Southwest flight attendants are trained in a wide range of sensitive customer issues".

That's the last detail provided in a six-page criminal complaint.

This is the second such incident involving Albuquerque in the past week.

A preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday, reports ABC News.
