Hello good evening and Welcome to tonight's live coverage of Arsenal v Leicester City on Monday Night Football.

Leicester managed to hold Arsenal to a goalless draw in the FA Cup in January 2000, but the 2015 Premier League champions have toiled since that meeting in the third round of the cup competition.

Mesut Özil, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang combined together to produce a moment of magic for Arsenal.

Arsenal now have wins in 10 consecutive games in all competitions for the first time since 12 in 2007.

That would prove costly, as Arsenal took advantage minutes later.

Arsenal were slow out the blocks and Leicester were unlucky not to get a penalty when Rob Holding handled in the area but they eventually got the luck they deserved when Ben Chilwell's effort defected past Bernd Leno via Hector Bellerin's boot in the 31st minute.

Arsenal were 5-1 winners against Fulham in their last Premier League game before the global break to highlight their undoubted progress under Unai Emery since Arsene Wenger's exit. Still, Leicester proved pesky and almost put themselves back in front in the 58th minute as Wilfred Ndidi headed a corner straight into the crossbar.

The Gunners have moved to within two points of Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the table after their recent run as they continue to thrive under Unai Emery.

But the home side grew into the game and hit back before half time when Mesut Ozil finished off a sweeping move.

Lacazette had another super chance in the 84th minute when Iwobi delivered low into the Frenchman, but the centre-forward fired over the crossbar.

Emery has favoured an attacking 4-2-3-1 formation at home and may also recall Aaron Ramsay as part of his line-up with Heinrich Mkhitaryan possibly making way.
