Diablo Immortal is the mobile Diablo game nobody asked for

Near the end of the opening ceremony for Blizzard's annual BlizzCon convention Friday, the company announced that the next game in the series would debut on a completely new platform: mobile devices.

Pre-registration links are already live at Google Play, and the game's listing confirms the game's inclusion of six familiar-sounding character classes (Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard) who can join forces in online co-op dungeon-crawling. It's set between the last two games with "20 years of untold stories". But instead of going with one of the more darkly-themed characters of the game, Blizzard made a decision to create a Loot Goblin amiibo.

The announcement came with some official gameplay and it will be interesting to see how Blizzard adopts the game to a touch-screen format. The partnership with NetEase is another indication that Diablo Immortal may not have been targeted at NA/EU. But they prepared wrong, and instead saw Diablo Immortal. Shortly after the announcement, the team took questions from the audience. One fan asked if this announcement was an "out of season April Fool's joke".

Google Workers Stage Walkout in NYC Over Company's Sexual Misconduct Policies
Rubin's spokesperson denied the story and said the "false accusations" were part of a "smear campaign by [his] ex-wife". The huge payouts have been raising questions over whether Google has been taking workplace sexual harassment seriously.

Jadeja spins India to series-clinching win against West Indies
It will be noteworthy to see who replaces Nurse in the T20 Series, as he was a big game changer for Windies in this Series. In October it was the West Indies , who despite a show of promise in the first three ODIs, succumbed to a 3-1 defeat.

"Mobile technology today supports the kinds of AAA gaming experiences Blizzard is known for", Cheng said of the decision to bring Diablo to mobile. As for the release date, we're in "coming soon" territory.

The wound is still very fresh for those expecting Diablo 4 so this early dislike towards the game might cool down in the coming days, weeks and months.

BlizzCon 2018 takes place this weekend, and would make for a great stage to announce Diablo amiibo. The talk focused on games across Blizzard Entertainment's portfolio-along with a huge freebie from its corporate siblings at Bungie.
