Shooter opens fire on at a Tallahassee yoga studio before turning the gun on himself

A gunman killed two people and left several others injured at a yoga studio in Florida's state capital Tallahassee on Friday before apparently killing himself, the local police chief said.

Beierle's LinkedIn page says he attended FSU for a masters degree in public administration and urban planning, and graduated from Binghamton University in NY in 2002.

The two women killed have been named as Dr. Nancy Van Vessem, 61, and Maura Binkley, 21.

"It can be really scary at first knowing that you are going to spend a semester far away from home", Binkley told Florida State University News upon her return. She had gotten her medical degree from St. Louis University, the website said, and her research focus was "restructuring health care for people with multiple chronic diseases". He was charged by police with battery in 2016 after he slapped and grabbed a woman's buttocks at an apartment complex pool.

- A former Dunwoody High School student was among those killed in a violent attack at a Tallahassee, Florida yoga studio on Friday. Beierle denied intentionally grabbing anyone and said he might have accidentally bumped into someone.

Beirele had been previously arrested for grabbing women although the charges were eventually dropped.

Court records indicate prosecutors agreed to dismiss the battery charge after Beierle completed a six-month diversion agreement requiring him to stay out of trouble, not drink alcohol to excess and to follow a psychologist's recommendations. On it, he posted songs with lyrics describing violence against women, with one song, complaining about "the girl I can't get in the sack", posted just hours before the shooting. Police did not immediately confirm the link. It includes a section in which he called black women "ugly and disgusting". CNN has not verified the man in the videos is the gunman.

A gunman has opened fire at a hot yoga studio in Tallahassee, killing one person and critically wounding six others people before turning the gun on himself. However, the man speaking in the videos looks like Beierle and biographical details mentioned in the videos match known facts about Beierle, including details about his military service.

The Tallahassee Police Department has not yet released information about a suspected motive in Friday's attack.

The crime scene was located in a shopping plaza near Thomasville Road and Bradford Road. Police have not yet said what kind of gun he used. "If you didn't know it was there, you basically wouldn't know [about the studio]". He then shot and killed himself. Rodger is lionized in the "incel" or "involuntarily celibate" community.
