Here are 4 of Trump’s worst racist comments, according to Michael Cohen

Feeling a need to clear his conscience following last week's synagogue massacre in Pittsburgh, and in the midst of his own legal troubles, President Trump's former personal lawyer Michael Cohen said in a recent interview that he recalled several instances in which his former boss used racist and anti-gay language during one-on-one conversations.

Supposedly, following the death of Nelson Mandela, Trump said to him that there wasn't a single country run by a black person "that's not a s**thole".

He's levelled a series of accusations against the President, including that Mr Trump made many racist remarks in front of him.

"Trump made a comment to me, saying that only the blacks could live like this", Cohen told Vanity Fair. "Trump responded, 'That's because Black people are too stupid to vote for me, '" Cohen told the magazine.

During our conversation, Cohen recalled a discussion at Trump Tower, following the then-candidate's return from a campaign rally during the 2016 election cycle.

Cohen said Trump called African-Americans as "too stupid" to support him, said black people were awful political leaders, and said he picked a white victor on "The Apprentice" because the other finalist was black.

"I told Trump that the rally looked vanilla on television", Cohen said.

Now Cohen isn't the only former employee of the President claiming that he's racist.

China says Xi-Trump phone call ‘extremely positive’
Trump has also threatened to extend the tariffs to all Chinese imports if the meeting in Argentina fails to produce "a good deal". The two heads of state think they should enhance trade relations, ministry spokesman Lu Kang told a daily news briefing.

The comments were later echoed during Trump's presidency, when he described Haiti and African countries as "s-holes" in a meeting with Nigeria's president. "There's no way I can let this black f-g win", Cohen says Trump explained.

Cohen's claims come at a time when Trump is already being slammed for his treatment of minority groups in the country. "He had many African-American friends".

Cohen is scheduled to be sentenced December 12.

He has pleaded guilty to tax evasion, bank fraud and campaign finance violations and also admitted he made hush-money payments to women at Mr Trump's direction.

Former White House communications staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman, who was sacked from her job last December, claimed in her book "Unhinged" that Trump had used a racial slur on the set of "The Apprentice".

In late September, ABC News reported that Cohen had spent hours over the past month being interviewed by investigators of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

"I should have been a bigger person, and I should have left", he told the outlet, adding that he was in awe of the job and forgave Trump.
