A court in the Philippines has sentenced former first lady Imelda Marcos to prison for corruption.

She was sentenced to prison for 6 years and 1 month to 11 years for each case.

On the other hand, Marcos was acquitted in three of her other graft charges involving local corporations due to the insufficiency of evidence against her.

Marcos can also raise the decision to the Supreme Court if she finds grave abuse of discretion on the part of the Sandiganbayan.

The Sandiganbayan Fifth Division also ordered the issuance of an arrest warrant against Mrs. Marcos.
