Chevrolet also offered its drag-racing Camaro with your choice of two other naturally aspirated options-a 410-hp 6.2-liter V-8 and a 470-hp 427-cubic-inch V-8.

Monday night at the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers' Association gathering in Las Vegas, Chevrolet revealed an electric concept version of its drag-race focused COPO Camaro.

There's apparently more than 700 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque in this EV COPO Camaro.

A 200-volt battery pack has been slotted into the eCOPO's trunk to supply juice to the beastly motors found up front. Most electric cars on the road now have packs in the 400-volt range.

Chevrolet's COPO Camaro dragstrip hero turns 50 next year, and the Bowtie brand is celebrating with its 2019 COPO Camaro. "We're not there yet, but it's something we're exploring".
