Khashoggi's body has not been found, more than a month after he was killed.

Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi's body may be "dissolved completely" and the Turkish officials are calling for an Islamic prayer for the murdered, news website Middle East Eye reports. Cengiz said in her Friday tweet.

The existence of such a recording had been an open secret shared with much of the world's media soon after Khashoggi was killed in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on 2 October.

Some Turkish officials have said the Saudi crown prince was the architect of Khashoggi's murder. "Saudi attorney general arrived in Turkey to dodge the column", he said, referring to the visit of Saudi Arabia's top prosecutor Saud al-Mujeb to obtain information about the case and his meeting with Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Irfan Fidan, who is leading the investigation. Yet some of those implicated in the killing are close to the crown prince, including a member of the prince's entourage on foreign trips who was seen at the consulate before Khashoggi's slaying.

Before his arrest, Al-Qahtani, who was sacked following the widely deplored killing of Khashoggi, had warned Saudi dissidents that those hiding behind fake names on Twitter would meet punishment.

Khashoggi was killed by a team of 15 Saudis nearly immediately after walking into his country's consulate in Istanbul to obtain documents he required to remarry. President Donald Trump has reiterated he does not want to jeopardise money coming into the U.S. from Saudi Arabia.
