The White House yanked Acosta's press credentials after his controversial conduct during the fiery briefing with Trump on Wednesday.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was the hot topic of late-night on Thursday after she circulated a doctored video of CNN's Jim Acosta.

The White House News Photographers Association said it was "appalled" to learn that Sanders may have shared a doctored video. "That's not doctoring", Trump later said.

"They gave a close up view". "We will not tolerate the inappropriate behaviour clearly documented in this video", she wrote.

"First of all, thank you for being kind enough to understand that those words are awful for a sitting United States President versus someone who's been covering presidents from before him and will probably after he leaves" Ryan said.

The White House claimed Acosta "placed his hand" on the female intern while she tried to get the microphone.

Phillip, a CNN reporter and former Washington Post journalist, drew Trump's wrath on Friday, after she asked whether he hoped Matthew Whitaker, Trump's appointee as acting attorney general, would "rein in" special counsel Robert Mueller's probe of Trump's presidential campaign.

Saints fear Achilles tear for Bryant
That said, Payton said he hasn't seen Bryant practice yet and "we'll see" if Bryant plays this weekend after that changes. According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero , the Saints fear that Bryant tore his Achilles during today's practice.

Florida, Georgia brace for possible recounts, run-off amid razor-thin midterm results
In a news conference, Scott claimed Broward County announced there were 634,000 ballots cast on Election Day. Republicans "easily won" in Broward County, Mr Trump said, citing no evidence.

Tyson Chandler Was Overwhelmed After Lakers Debut
The Lakers ended the clash with a +7 rebounding advantage, the first time they've done so since their third game of the season. The Lakers haven't had many resources to back up JaVale McGee at center, and Chandler will provide just that piece.

Abby Phillip, another CNN reporter, was told her question was "stupid" and the president refused to answer. "But I watch you a lot, you ask a lot of stupid questions", Trump sneered.

"Journalists may use a range of approaches to carry out their jobs and the WHCA does not police the tone or frequency of the questions its members ask of powerful senior government officials, including the President", the WHCA said. Trump's insults "are nothing new. The video is clear, he did", the statement said.

The attack on Ryan was unprovoked, although the president had appeared upset at Wednesday's news conference when Ryan stood up and asked him, without a microphone, about voter suppression in the midterm elections. "Look, I don't think he's a smart person, but he's got a loud voice". But then he said, "I don't hold him for that because it wasn't overly, you know, horrible". "You talk about somebody that's a loser, she doesn't know what the hell she's doing", Trump said. But she is very nasty and she shouldn't be.

Ryan, who is also a CNN contributor, tweeted in response: "I love this country and have the most respect for the Office of the President".

"President Trump believes in a free press and expects and welcomes tough questions of him and his Administration". Acosta has been a favorite punching bag of the president, and conservative media, so it will be sad to see these popcorn moments end. "The question is: Did the reporter make contact or not?"

In between his calls for "respect", Trump called Acosta "unprofessional" and disparaged the reporter's intelligence. But he said there could be others. Trump added, "The way you treat Sarah Huckabee is terrible. You have to treat the presidency with respect", he said.
