Vince Gilligan Working on Breaking Bad Movie

Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad

AMC's hit TV drama Breaking Bad might have ended back in 2013, but the wider universe it was set in continues to thrive. However, THR states that the movie has been known by the working (or possibly fake) title Greenbrier within the industry for some time. Let us know in the comments.

Whether this film will be a prequel involving Bryan Cranston's deceased Walter White or Aaron Paul's Jesse Pinkman (who was kidnapped by Jack Welker's white supremacist gang in the final season) remains unclear.

This will be Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan's first project under his newly-signed three-year deal withSony Pictures Television. A feature film will begin production in Albuquerque.

The project has the working title of Greenbrier (if you recognize that name, it's because it's a very common plant) and has been confirmed by the New Mexico Film Office.

The plot - a kidnapped man on a quest for freedom - sounds an bad lot like Jesse (Aaron Paul) in the final season, when he was kidnapped by Neo Nazis.

Cameroon: Children among 81 people kidnapped from school in Bamenda
He had earlier put the number of children taken at 79, but one of them was, in fact, a teacher, who remains with the kidnappers. About 20 percent of Cameroon's 22 million people are English speaking.

Samsung starts teasing foldable display smartphone
We've seen foldable displays and concept phones from various companies but nothing concrete on a production unit from Samsung. We neither have a confirmed name of the phone but a report from GizmoChina reveals that it may be called the Galaxy F.

Jesse escapes, but Walter is shot and surrounded by police as the series ends. However, to follow up on that almost flawless series finale (I have some complaints about the final season which I will one day put into words, but this is neither the time or the place) by tidying up Jesse's ending or, worse, showing that his freedom was short lived would undermine the entire point of his ending. This news should be more than enough to let you forget about the real world for a little bit, right? A prequel series, Better Call Saul, was quickly greenlighted before the initial series concluded, and it was recently renewed for a fifth season set to air in 2019.

Of course, there begs the question of "do we need a Breaking Bad film?" It follows the earlier life of Breaking Bad's shady lawyer Saul Goodman, with Bob Odenkirk reprising the lead role.

From acclaimed writer, producer, director Vince Gilligan, Breaking Bad was produced by Sony Pictures Television with Mark Johnson (Gran Via) and Michelle MacLaren serving as executive producers.

But a source close to the project confirmed the production.
