Lake Okeechobee tournament angler still missing after 3rd day of searching

The Coast Guard, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are taking part in the search for Kayler.

CBS Sports said the boat had apparently been in an accident when it was found.

According to Fishing League Worldwide, Bill Kisiah was rescued Thursday night. "It was then learned that the boat capsized". As of the morning of January 5, Kisiah was in Belle Glade Hospital in serious condition with hypothermia.

Around 11 p.m., crews found Bill Kisiah but his fishing partner Nik Kayler remained missing.

Clewiston Police wrote on Facebook that Kayler could be anywhere within a 30-mile stretch between Clewiston and Pahokee. It is one of the largest freshwater lakes in the United States.

A total of 500 anglers in 250 boats were participating in the competition before it was canceled.
