Amit Shah to Make His Maiden Speech in Rajya Sabha Today, Likely to Attack Congress on GST
Addressing party workers after kicking off his election campaign at in West Garo Hills district, Shah said: "While on my way to Tikrikilla (to address a public rally), I did not have hope but after seeing the response of the people in Tikrikilla, and the anger of the public against (the Mukul) Sangma government, I am convinced that the next government will be of the BJP".
Appealing to the voters to put an end to Left rule in the state, Shah said that while Communism was coming to an end across the world, the people of India have simultaneously brought Congress rule to an end in India.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah is expected to deliver his maiden speech in Rajya Sabha on Friday.
BJP national president Amit Shah said if there is a competition for the most corrupt regime, then the award should go to the Mukul Sangma-led government.
Shah is scheduled to address two public rallies in Tripura on Sunday where the BJP is planning to put up a strong fight against Manik Sarkar-led Left Front government.
"The funds sanctioned from the centre are looted by the Congress ruled government in the state. Soon, BJP will form the government and fulfill the aspirations of people in Tripura".

"The Centre has asked the Meghalaya government to submit project completion certificates, but the government is failed to submit it as no development projects are being properly implemented", Shah said.
"The Meghalaya government is not for the people".
"The BJP government's agenda of development is all encompassing and does not see religion or caste. However the state of Meghalaya has hardly moved forward in the past 47 years of becoming a state and it is appalling", added Alphonse during his speech to the gathering.
