One dead one injured in I-5 head-on crash in Redding
A wrong way driver caused a auto crash that killed six people in northern California, with both cars bursting into flames.
The crash was reported at 4:32 p.m. on the westbound side of the freeway just east of State Route 71, said the California Highway Patrol.
When officers arrived on scene, the Chevrolet had crashed head-on with a Dodge traveling north in the left lane of the interstate, the CHP said. Both vehicles were engulfed in flames.
