The plot supposedly revolves around an aspiring singer, played by Anil Kapoor, his relationship with his daughter and how their lives change when Aishwarya Rai comes into their lives. The gorgeous beauty has a list of films on her bucket list.
When asked how she felt about Aishwarya leaning toward Lataji as her role model in Fanney Khan the Nightingale remarked, "It is good to hear that she is fond of my singing.Aishwarya is so lovely and she does full justice to my songs". The buzz is strong that she might be seen playing a surrogate mother in a film titled Jasmine.
It is being said that not only will she play a singer in the film Fanney Khan, but will also be seen paying a tribute to the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the film is a co-production between Toilet: Ek Prem Katha director Shree Narayan Singh and Prernaa Arora's production house. In fact, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, starring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam will mark Sidharth and Garima's directorial debut.
Based on a real-life story set in Gujarat and Pushkar, Jasmine will tell the touching tale of a woman who becomes a surrogate mother and later gets attached to the child.
