Google Pay brings Android Pay and Google Wallet together
Google's revamped mobile payment service has arrived, now called Google Pay.
Over the years, Google has had multiple payment-related products and the company has made it unnecessarily complicated for the consumers. Apparently Google Pay combines all these former stabs at the universal smartphone payment system.
Managing an Android Pay and Google Wallet account wasn't a lot of work, but it sure could get confusing at times. The idea is to bring in all the different ways people used to pay for things under one brand and hopefully making it easier to make purchases.

Google suggests that overlap between its services spurred Google Pay into existence. Over the coming weeks, Google Pay will appear online, in store, and across Google products. With Google Pay, you can save your payment information to your Google Account, and use it for checkout process wherever it is supported.
Google Pay will be replacing Android Pay branding everywhere, including in first-party apps, like Chrome and YouTube, as well as third-party ones, like Fandango.
To promote the launch, Google is also offering special discounts when you buy something via Google Pay from B&H, Fandango and Instacart.
