A husband and wife along with their 20-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son were found dead Friday in an apparent murder-suicide at a Santa Clarita home, authorities said.
Scarlette Barajas said she was a classmate of Drew Birnkrant.
All four victims were pronounced dead at the scene, the Sheriff's Department said.
Authorities discovered the bodies after being sent to the home on a request to perform a welfare check, officials said.
"There are four deceased people at the residence", said Ed Winter, assistant chief of the L.A. County Coroner's office, according to the SCV News. The murders were discovered by the police in Santa Clarita at the family's home on the morning of January 5, 2018.
Moore said investigators have not been looking for any outstanding suspect and there was no indication of a break-in either.
