Jaguar sales in the USA were down by 20.5 percent at 3,414 units while Land Rover sales declined 3.6 percent to 7,980 units YoY.
The carmaker announced that sales were up to 7% in 2016, more than tripling since 2009, but was tired with regards to consumer confidence and the new diesel tax in the UK.
Land Rover saw its sales rise by 2% to 442,508 vehicles, with its best seller being the Discovery Sport with 126,078 sales.
Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director in a statement said: "We have once again delivered year-on- year sales increases thanks to a world-class product range and new models such as the E-PACE and Velar, as well as China-specific models such as the XFL".
For the stock, greater disruption from EVs, weaker volume growth are key risks.

Fire reported at Trump Tower, FDNY says
Trump Tower caught fire on Monday morning, with emergency responders rushing to the scene just after 7am in midtown Manhattan. Trump Tower served as his campaign headquarters and also was the site of The Apprentice , the NBC reality show Trump hosted.
The company says that despite tough conditions in some markets it has been able to achieve record global sales including retail sales of 55,697 units an increase of 0.6 percent (YoY) in December 2017, while for the quarter it sold 154,447 vehicles, up 3.5 percent.
Growth in China and the US helped offset the impact of hard market conditions in the European, UK and overseas markets.
It described its performance in the United Kingdom as "solid", with 117,748 Jaguars and Land Rovers sold.
The company expects going to get tough in United Kingdom due to weak consumer confidence and diesel tax. Similarly, Jaguar Land Rover's retail sales were 138,643 in Europe, in line with the previous year despite hard market conditions in the region. Manufacturing is centred in the United Kingdom, with additional plants in China, Brazil, Austria and Slovakia.
