"I'm trying to get to the point that Steve Bannon-" Tapper said, before Miller interrupted.
"Look, you can be as condescending as you want, it's part of your M.O.", Miller exclaimed, causing Tapper to question why the White House aide was attacking him.
Miller said CNN did "24 hours of negative anti-Trump hysterical coverage" that led to false reporting.
Miller repeatedly characterized as "grotesque" Steve Bannon's comments that appear in Michael Wolff's bombshell book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House", which has dominated headlines for much of the week. CNN host Jake Tapper rebutted any suggestion that Trump is a political genius by pointing out that Trump's approval ratings are in the 30s.
"There's one viewer you care about right now, and you're being obsequious, you're being a factotum in order to please him", Tapper said, concluding the interview as Miller struggled to get a word in.
In an interview on "State of the Union" on Sunday, Tapper pressed Miller to respond to some of the most high-profile claims, including Bannon's assertion that a 2016 meeting between the Trump campaign and a Kremlin-linked lawyer was "unpatriotic" and "treasonous".

Hafiz Saeed serves Rs 100 million 'defamation' notice to Pak defence minister
Dogar accused that the minister had caused "immense damage" to the "reputation" of Saeed and JuD by issuing an "irresponsible" statement, the report said.
Clearly Miller was dispatched by the White House to push back forcefully on the highly-destructive revelations the book offers.
Miller ducked Tapper's other questions about Trump's recent tweets, Bannon's influence on Trump's presidency and policy and a New York Times report in September 2017 that Miller in May helped compose a list of reasons to fire James Comey as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. "Thank you, Stephen", Tapper added as he ended the interview.
It may have been a a satisfying climax to anyone in tune with reality, but the one viewer that mattered immediately gave Miller a glowing review for his performance. "The betrayal of the president in this book is so contrary to the reality of those who work with him", Miller continued. The interview ended abruptly with Tapper cutting Miller off as he repeatedly asked to be given three minutes to share his positive impressions of Trump.
He then asked for three minutes to tell "the truth about the Donald Trump I know".
"I'm getting to the issue of your fitness", Miller replied.
With that, Tapper cut off Miller and tossed to commercial.
