The award is for his portrayal of independent filmmaker and actor Tommy Wiseau in The Disaster Artist It's a semi-fictional retelling of the production of Wiseau's 2003 film The Room, popularly known as "the worst movie ever made". Alas, it happened when James Franco won Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for The Disaster Artist at the 2018 Golden Globes.
Franco, the son of parents who met while attending Stanford University, is a 1996 graduate of Palo Alto High School, where he got his acting start by appearing in school stage plays. Watch the wild moment, below!
Wiseau darted out of his chair, ran across the room, and leapt up to the stage with his long, dyed-black hair and sunglasses looking, as Franco's friend and co-star Seth Rogen described him earlier in the show, "like Johnny Depp went to a costume party dressed as a vampire".
NFL Referee Jeff Triplette Retiring; Mike Pereira Blasted Crew for Titans-Chiefs
The Titans had a complaint too, having to waste a replay challenge on a third-down spot that was way off early in the game. And that cost the Chiefs six points in what ultimately ended up being a one-point loss.

SEC Probes Kushner Cos. Over EB-5 Investment-for-Visa Program
In a statement, the Kushner Companies said they had used the program properly and were cooperating with requests for information. The exact subject of the SEC´s inquiry, or whether it identified particular projects, is not clear, the Journal reported.
During his speech, Franco even pulled out his Wiseau impersonation, joking that Wiseau once was stuck in traffic during the Golden Globes and promised to make his own movie.
He then spoke of working with his brother, Dave, who played Greg Sestero in The Disaster Artist. He said to his best friend Greg [Sestero], "The Golden Globes?". He joined Sam Rockwell, a native of Daly City, who won best supporting actor in a motion picture for his role in "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri".
Franco beat out his fellow "brothers", Steve Carell, Ansel Elgort, Hugh Jackman, and Daniel Kaluuya to win his first Golden Globe.
