Report Reggie Mc Kenzie declined interview offer with Packers

The worst-kept secret in the National Football League is now out in the open as Jon Gruden will be introduced as the next head coach of the Oakland Raiders during a press conference on Tuesday, a move that caught the attention of Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr. The expectation is that the official announcement will come Tuesday, which makes sense given that the team has scheduled a press conference to reportedly announce what everyone already knows: Gruden's their guy.

"I'm in Kansas City freezing my a- off".

Fellow Oakland coach Steve Kerr said he was thrilled for Gruden, but also noted that it was a lot more than he is making. "I'm getting ready to go meet (Titans defensive coordinator) Dick LeBeau". But considering there is no salary cap for coaches and players are routinely signing deals worth $20 million per year or more in all leagues, it does seem that Kerr might be underpaid.

Ian Rapoport‏ of NFL Network reported earlier Saturday the Seattle Seahawks denied a Packers request to interview John Schneider.

So this is really his last game in the booth, huh?

It's an emotional and bittersweet day for our "Monday Night Football" family as today as we say goodbye to coach Gruden after nine very distinguished years.

A day before the Raiders fired Jack Del Rio, Adam Schefter filed a report that the Raiders were heavily pursuing Gruden.

The Raiders fell to 6-10 in 2017 after going 12-4 and earning a playoff berth for the first time since 2002 in 2016. He was 2-2 in the postseason, losing in the AFC title game following the 2000 season and the divisional round in 2001. Gruden is the 21st different coach in franchise history and the second man to do it twice, joining Art Shell (1989-94) and 2006.
