In the publication's character description is a line for a "Mysterious Man". The choice of character was obvious enough, as Doctor Sivana as always been Shazam!'s chief rival outside of Black Adam in the comics. While Beautia looks to be an ally of Billy's, the character descriptions tease a battle between Shazam and Magnificus, making it hard to tell if the film will develop the character beyond a villain alongside his father.

While news of Strong's addition as Dr Thaddeus Sivana is indeed exciting for fans, there might be as many as four villains teaming up against Levi-played Shazam.
SHAZAM - "Elderly wizard who is forced to give his powers to a young boy before the boy is ready". Now, while it's hard to know what character this is, it could be a cover up for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Black Adam.
Add in his genius and drive, and it's no surprise that he's every bit as deadly to Shazam as Lex Luthor is to Superman. On the other hand, Magnificus and Beautia are Sivana's two children, who both cross paths with the young Billy Batson as he undergoes his radical transformation.
But at the same time, the fact that the cameo is listed amongst casting descriptions, while Johnson has had the role on lockdown for years, nearly seems to hint that it might not be Black Adam. However, since so little is said about Magnificus we'll just have to speculate if he'll follow his sister and ally himself with Shazam or if the filmmakers will take some more creative liberties and keep him strictly as a villain. Thankfully, as director David F. Sandberg has hinted, there are plenty more casting announcements to come.
Zachary Levi is to star as the adult superhero with Asher Angel portraying the young Billy and Strong has echoed Levi's claim that the movie is a cross between Tom Hanks" 1988 comedy "Big" - which sees 12-year-old Josh Baskin turn into a 30-year-old man after his wish to be a grown-up comes true - and "Superman'.
