He coached with Saban at LSU, the Miami Dolphins and for nine years with Alabama, the last eight as defensive coordinator.

Asked about his emotions after taking Georgia to its first SEC championship since 2005 and the Rose Bowl win, Smart said "Oh, I'm good". "I'm excited about it". "I don't think people appreciate what he's been able to do in the most competitive college football league for a long time", Smart said.
