"That fire is still under investigation by the Etowah County Arson Task Force", Natalie Barton, public information officer with the Etowah County Sheriff's Department, said Friday. "We have just the clothes on our backs".

Johnson is among several women who have accused Moore, who lost a bid for a Senate seat in a heated special election in December, of sexual misconduct. While describing her experience, Johnson said how in 1991 when she was 28-years-old, Moore "grabbed me from behind, on my buttocks", during a custody dispute between Johnson and her mother at Moore's law office in Gadsden, Alabama. They have nothing available.

GoFundMe did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but Stanton said she is working with the fundraising website to ensure that Johnson receives the funds. "This is so upsetting for anybody, losing their home, everything you know, so quickly and violently".

According to a report by the International Business Times, neighbors first called 911 around 8 a.m. EST after they saw flames engulfing Johnson's home. "Money won't erase what happened, but I truly hope it will help", Stanton said. That's really wonderful. I think there's a donation from every single state.

"We're talking about 2,600 people as of this morning who have all contributed between $5 and $1,000", she told AL.com on Saturday. The statement says investigators don't believe the fire is linked to Moore or the allegations against him. So, all 50 states are represented.
