Texas journalist missing after telling roommate man was following her

Roland, a reporter for Rivals.com, last communicated with a friend at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Texas A&M reporter Courtney Roland is reportedly missing in the Houston area, according to multiple reports.

Roland was last seen around 12:30am Sunday morning at the Walgreens at 20 and Yale St., in Houston, according to a friend who spoke with KAGS but wishes to remain anonymous.

The roommate said a man followed Roland to her home in the truck, circled back around, parked behind her in her driveway and sped away when Roland exited her vehicle. Roland was last seen wearing a Remington hat and camouflage.

The roommate said Roland and her was supposed to meet up, but the roommate didn't hear from her again.

On Sunday, Roland's mother told the station that she received a text that said, "hello the owner of this phone Courtney".

Roland's roommate told KPRC that Roland texted her about a suspicious man she saw in Walgreens who was following her. Anyone with information should call Houston Police's Missing Persons department at 832-394-1840. "I am buying an iPad", according to Click 2 Houston.

Officials confirmed a missing person report had been filed with Houston police.
