"The Mayor" Dropped From ABC's Schedule

According to the publication, The Mayor was pulled from ABC "until further notice", and it's a sad day if you are a fan of the political, musical and comical show. Being backed by big names in entertainment like executive producer, Hamilton's Daveed Diggs, ABC showed faith in the show's success.

ABC has pulled its freshman comedy series THE MAYOR from the schedule, effectively canceling it, Tracking Board has confirmed. The effective cancellation is somewhat surprising, in that the broadcaster ordered an additional three scripts in December.

The single-camera comedy starred Hall as young rapper Courtney Rose who surprisingly gets elected mayor of his hometown in California.

On the drama side, ABC has yet to schedule The Crossing, Deception, Shondaland's For the People and the Grey's Anatomy spinoff as the network has little real estate remaining.
