NBC reported on Monday that the President's lawyers are looking for clarification on whether Mr Trump would be interviewed directly by Mr Mueller, as well as the legal standard for when a president can be interviewed, the location of a possible interview, the topics and how long the discussion Acould last.
Lawyers for President Donald Trump are engaged in initial talks with the Federal Bureau of Investigation about a possible interview with special counsel Robert Mueller's team and the President, NBC News reported Monday morning, citing three people familiar with the matter.
While President Trump insists everything he's done, or ever did, regarding Russian Federation was "100 percent proper," Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller's investigation into possible collusion isn't simply going to rest on the Donald's public claims.
"The president said that he believes Mr. Mueller would treat him fairly, I also believe that", Graham said on "The View".
Mueller's team is asking questions created to learn whether Trump and others involved in drafting the statement aboard Air Force One in July 2017 - which said the meeting was primarily about Russian adoptions - knew it was incorrect, the two sources said.
Some of the options being considered include submitting written responses to questions instead of a sit-down interview or filing an affidavit signed by the president asserting his innocence, according to the report.

Even if he has nothing to hide, Mr Trump has demonstrated a willingness to bend the truth - a quality that could cause headaches for his legal team.
Trump has repeatedly said he personally is not under investigation.
Mueller's team announced charges in October against three other Trump campaign officials: Manafort, his business associate Rick Gates, and a former campaign foreign policy adviser, George Papadopoulos.
Asked on Saturday if he would speak with Mueller's team, Trump said he would.
"We have been very open", Trump said.
