Apple chief executive Tim Cook has also hit out at Facebook's policies, describing users' privacy as a "human right".
The changes come during a crisis moment after revelations that the data consultancy Cambridge Analytica had wrongfully obtained the Facebook profiles on at least 30 million US Facebook users.

Facebook began developing the centralized system past year but sped it up after revelations that a British political consulting firm, Cambridge Analytica, improperly harvested the information of 50 million users of the social network.
