Neil Patrick Harris returns as Count Olaf for the second season of “A Series of Unfortunate Events.”
Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler only recently announced their upcoming YA book, Cursed, and Netflix is ready to turn it into a series. This is apparently the first time the same creative team will be writing a book and the adapted TV series version simultaneously, which will allow Miller and Wheeler to explore their characters from the book in more detail on screen. There is no current time frame for the series on Netflix, but the book is planned (with black-and-white and full-color illustrations) in 2019. Deadline reports that they've snagged another big comic book legend for a new series.
Last week, Simon & Schuster announced that Miller would be collaborating with Thomas Wheeler (The LEGO Ninjago Movie, Puss In Boots) to publish his first young adult novel, Cursed.
In the story, a 16-year-old Nimue will encounter the young mercenary Arthur while on a quest to deliver an ancient sword to the wizard Merlin, catching up with her soon after the death of her mother. On the way, she becomes a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins and King Uther.

While there's no telling yet as to where this interpretation will fall in relation to those two films, Frank Miller is the man responsible for such comic titles as Sin City and The Dark Knight Returns. neither of those works are particularly famous for their warm and fuzzy feelings. The book will be written by Wheeler, with Miller illustrating. Netflix did not specify a series release date. On the TV side, Wheeler's credits include NBC's shortlived superhero drama The Cape.
