32-Year-Old 'Terrorist' Nabbed by Maharashtra ATS Was 'Trained in Pakistan'
The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested a 32-year-old terror suspect who recently arrived in Mumbai after allegedly receiving arms training in Pakistan and was planning to conduct a series of bomb explosions throughout the city.
"On his arrival, we had received specific inputs, following which with the help of Mumbai Police and Kolkata STF we nabbed him and placed him under arrest", said a police officer from Maharashtra ATS.
The terror suspect was arrested from Mumbai's Juhu area on Sunday. He was under the watch of the agency after his return to Mumbai from Pakistan. He is a member of LeT.
According to ATS officials, the man was planning to assassinate some important personalities. Mirza was in contact with the wanted accused through social media.

Police said Khan received training in a suicide bombing, bombs making and gun training. "He then attended a training camp there run by a terror outfit", the official said, adding that it has been learnt that this outfit had the backing of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
During interrogation, officers found that Mr. Mirza, with the previous bomb blast accused, had planned to target VVIPs and busy places in the city, public utilities, and government offices.
Meanwhile, the police are probing the case and Khan has been remanded to ATS custody till May 21.
