There are some very disappointed Leinster fans stranded in Dublin Airport today after they had to give up their seats on an overbooked Aer Lingus flight.
.Leinster and Racing 92 will battle it out for the Champions Cup later on this afternoon, but six unfortunate fans who were were set to be at the game, will miss out because of an Aer Lingus calamity.
The airline put additional flights on to accommodate their supporters with 2,700 booking with them to go the final.
As fans expressed their anger via social media, financial compensation and alternative arrangements were offered by the airline, who explained that the capacity problem was caused by issues which arose at Dublin Airport yesterday following inclement weather conditions.
'Six poor souls left at the gate, four picked at random and two took one for the team and volunteered.

The crew of Aer Lingus Flight EI-582 originally informed air traffic control of their concerns shortly after the plane took to the skies. "As a result for one of our Bilbao flights, the capacity was slightly lower than required", said an Aer Lingus spokesperson.
Two were re-routed while two opted not to travel.
An Aer Lingus flight bound for Spain returned to its origin city of Dublin on Thursday over fears that the aircraft may have struck two hares, or sucked one into the engine, upon takeoff.
