This is the fourth in a series of lawsuits Brant is facing: Former associate publisher Jane Katz also claims Interview fired her unjustly and owes her unpaid wages of $230,000.
The publication, which was launched in 1969, has reportedly filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which entails the liquidating of assets.
A publication created by Andy Warhol almost 50 years ago, "Interview" magazine, has folded amid legal disputes with former staffers who allege the company owes them hundreds of thousands of dollars in compensation.
Ezra Marcus, an editor at Interview, confirmed to CNNMoney in an email that the magazine is "folding both web and print effective immediately". Dan Ragone, who was Interview's president for six years, also sued in 2016 for allegedly unpaid wages of about $170,000 and that case is still working its way through the courts.
Several staffers posted on Twitter this morning that the magazine had folded. She claimed she was sacked because she made too much money.
That ingenious business concept came to an end with Warhol's death in 1987, though Interview never entirely lost its in-crowd edge. It's also understood that Karl Templer in April left his position as Interview's creative director because he was owed at least $280,000. Peter Brant owns the magazine, while his daughter Kelly is the president.

Royal wedding: Prince Harry, Meghan Markle marry at Windsor Castle
George's Chapel in Windsor, England, on Saturday, and while it was a royal wedding for the ages, it was also pretty relatable. Lady Jane Fellowes, the sister of Harry's late mother Princess Diana, then gave a reading of "The Song of Solomon".
Once referred to as "the crystal ball of pop", Interview has featured a wide roster of cultural and entertainment world figures on its cover: David Bowie, Aretha Franklin, Annie Lennox and Kiera Knightley, to name a few.
Former editor Ingrid Sischy described the magazine as "dishy but serious". That said, there have been theories on what might've led Interview to fold. "We try to get full portraits of people".
Recent examples of this include Seth Rogen's conversation with rapper 21 Savage, Janet Mock's freewheeling interview with Kim Kardashian and a chat with the choreographer of Childish Gambin's This Is America.
Baron's lawsuit is not the only one Interview is dealing with.
In 1980, he sat down with Diana Ross in a NY restaurant. The magazine never fully strayed from the intimate Q&A's that characterised its early issues, allowing artists, musicians and writers to interview each other in a more personal and revelatory manner.
