Since then, Apple has been using the keyboard for its MacBook and MacBook Pro models. This was first spotted by AppleInsider, which also has access to the lawsuit statement.

One of the most common complaints levied at the MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops Apple relaunched in 2015 and 2016, respectively, has been how poor their keyboards are. The plaintiffs request that this be made into a class action lawsuit, and that Apple be required to replace all the affected keyboards at no cost to users.

Two Apple customers, fed up with the keyboards used in recent model MacBook notebooks, filed a lawsuit against the company on Friday in a San Jose, Calif, federal court. It says that after collecting service data for the first year of release for the 2014, 2015, and 2016 MacBook Pros, it concluded that - excluding Touch Bar failures - the 2016 MacBook Pro keyboard has been failing its users twice as often in the first year of use as the 2014 or 2015 MacBook Pro models.

The suit demands Apple publicly disclose the design flaw and pay damages to remedy or replace the defective units.

Girard Gibbs LLP, which is representing the plaintiffs, wrote on its website: "Because typing is the primary goal of laptops, over time, consumers have become more and more frustrated with the keyboard defect".

"Despite awareness of the defect, Apple touted - and continues to tout - the MacBook as having a superior and highly responsive keyboard, with "four times more key stability than a traditional scissor mechanism".

The court said the federal law violated constitutional principles limiting the federal government from controlling state policy. Oral arguments - which appear to go in favor of New Jersey - are heard in front of the Supreme Court on December 4, 2017.

Insult to Faiz's daughter reflects badly on 'Atithi Devo Bhava'
India's image of being gracious, generous and welcoming to guests should not be tarnished for the sake of harebrained politics. She is the daughter of Urdu poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz, who is celebrated on both sides of the border for his stirring Urdu poetry.

The claim takes after a reiteration of grievances crosswise over client discussions, authority media and an appeal to with more than 21,000 marks encouraging Apple to review the Mac PCs discharged since late 2016. When the MacBook's butterfly keyboard fails, the keys stick and no longer register keystrokes.

This suit quotes numerous complaints from different users who have posted their problems on Apple's own Community Support forums.

With a lawsuit filed, the pressure is on for Apple to respond. Since the keys in the Macbooks can not be repaired by just anyone, Apple MacBook users are more bothered by the price to get their MacBooks fixed, especially if the users are out of warranties. Now it has led the company to a court. However, if the device is no longer under warranty, then the fix could cost $700.

When a user reports a faulty keyboard, they can bring it to an Apple Store for fix.

Apple's fabled butterfly keyboard has caused issues that's been bugging customers since its inception.
